Refund policy

Effective Date: February 24, 2026

This policy explains returns, refunds, and cancellations.

1) Return window

Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery.

2) Return condition requirements

Returned items must be:

  • Unused, uninstalled, and in resellable condition
  • Returned with original packaging, hardware, manuals, and included accessories
  • Returned with proof of purchase (order number/receipt)

3) Items generally not eligible for return

Unless defective on arrival or required by law:

  • Gift cards and digital items
  • Clearance/final sale items
  • Installed electrical parts, used/worn items, or anything showing installation marks
  • Fluids/chemicals and other restricted items once opened (if applicable)
  • Custom/special-order items (if applicable)
  • Items marked non-returnable on the product page

4) How to start a return

Email support@slateautoshop.us with:

  • Order number
  • Item(s) you want to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos if damaged/incorrect

If approved, we’ll provide return instructions and an RMA reference if needed. Please don’t ship returns without authorization.

5) Return shipping costs

  • Change of mind / wrong item ordered: customer pays return shipping
  • Our error / defective on arrival / transit damage: we cover reasonable return shipping after verification

6) Inspection & refund timing

After the return arrives, inspection typically takes 5–7 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method; banks may take 3–7 business days to post.

7) Order cancellations

If you cancel before shipment, we refund minus a 5% processing offset (non-recoverable payment processor fees). If the order has shipped, the return process applies.
